WWN’s “POETRY4CHANGE” Initiative was launched on September 21, 2015 with a PEACEATHON Poetry Recital organized by World Poetry Canada.

WWN POETRY4Change is a creative platform celebrating the works of talented and exciting new poetic voices and spoken word artists within the African continent and in the Diaspora.

It is an initiative created by Nigerian-Canadian Poet and Leadership Consultant, Juliet ‘Kego Ume-Onyido, co-founder, of Whole WoMan Network, Canada, in partnership with Praxis Magazine Online, Nigeria. The goal is to empower youths by leveraging the power of social media to highlight their talents and provide opportunities for mentorship and growth.

We are collaborating with different organizations and platforms to build up an empowering community of spoken word artists and poets who use the power of the Arts for social change.

Poetry4Change Initiative provides scholarships, grants and prizes to deserving youths. Our vision is to make poetry exciting, relatable and relevant to a new generation.
